A campus-wide team has been formed to create and implement a new, unique
identifier system for all students, faculty, and staff. Current team
discussions involve concerns of confidentiality and protecting the campus
community from identity fraud. The team’s
solution is to create a unique identifier (NSU ID) and eliminate SSNs
as unique identifier across all systems and applications.
